Györgyi Kocsis attended a meeting on 23 November 2019 in Budapest between representatives of Hungarian NGOs, media-outlets and Marco Perduca, a former Italian senator and co-founder of the human rights defender organisation Science for Democracy. Perduca called the attention to the significance of a new European Citizens' Initiative in the defense of the rule of law in the member states.
Representing the Hungarian Europe Society, Györgyi Kocsis and Kata Nagy participated at the reception given by Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony, and Deputy Mayor Gábor Kerpel-Fronius on 20 November 2019 in the Capital City Hall to which more than ninety Hungarian civil organisations had been invited. "NGOs are going to be our living conscience" - said Gergely Karácsony in his speech at the event, pledging that - in contrast to the past - in the future the Budapest local council is willing to cooperate with the civil sector as a partner in all its important decisions.
Györgyi Kocsis gave an interview to Klubrádió on 15 March 2019 about the manifesto signed by more than hundred Hungarian NGO-s, the Hungarian Europe Society among them, in which they declare their common values. The discussion put in focus the demands of the civil organisations to the Hungarian government to immediately withdraw the so-called "Registration" and "Stop Soros" laws, which aim to label and restrict the activities of independent organisations.
A dozen Hungarian NGO-s, members of "Civilizáció" umbrella organization, introduced themselves in Miskolc on 7 March 2018, urging local citizens not to shy away from civic activities. Györgyi Kocsis presented the mission of the Hungarian Europe Society, pointing out that it is not only governments and politicians who have the right to form the future of the European Union but civil groups and their members as well.
What are the consequences of the "unorthodox" economic policy of the last 8 years in Hungary? Are the artificially inflated business empires of the oligarchs going to collapse? Is Hungary ready to join the euro-zone? Is the introduction of the unconditional basic income feasible and necessary in Hungary? These were the issues among others at the crossroads of politics and economy discussed on 19 February 2018 between Györgyi Kocsis and István Csillag, former Hungarian minister of the socialist - free democrat government.
On 26 October 2017 at an event in Debrecen organised by Civilizáció, a grouping of Hungarian civil organizations formed as a response to the attacks of the Hungarian government against the civil society, nine Hungarian civil organizations, including the Hungarian Europe Society, presented their activities in ‘flash presentations’.
Györgyi Kocsis gave an interview to the Civil Rádió programme '117 minutes' on 6 January 2015 concerning the history and the activities of the Hungarian Europe Society, and about the challenges facing the European Union in 2015.
The analysis of Györgyi Kocsis entitled "Nem tisztelt ház. Mit mondanak ki, és mit hallgatnak el a pártok EP-programjai?" was published in HVG on 17 May 2014.
Györgyi Kocsis, vice-chairwoman of the Hungarian Europe Society was the moderator of a public debate on the role of the public media organised by the Independent Media Center and the Mérték Media Monitor on 31 January 2014 in the House of the European Union in Budapest. At the event, Hungarian and foreign journalists, researchers and interested members of the public could get an insight among others into the tasks and institutional setup of the Norwegian and the British public media.
"Changing models of media authorities" - was the title of the public debate held on October 3rd in the House of the European Union by the Center for Independent Journalism and the Mérték Médiaelemző Műhely (a think tank for media research and analysis). The organisers invited the interested media professionals to discuss the ideal structure and functions of the media authority.
On 25 May 2013, in the weekly HVG, Györgyi Kocsis analysed the position of the Hungarian Socialist Party on the potential disenfranchisement of the Hungarian government in the Council of the European Union.

At the annual meeting of the Hungarian Europe Society István Hegedűs was re-elected as chairman of the organisation on 3 November 2011. Jerzy Celichowski and Györgyi Kocsis have become the two vice-chairpersons.
