On 3 January 2020 members of the Hungarian Europe Society discussed the report entitled "Tyranny and Hope" as well as the political situation in Hungary at their traditional annual meeting. Following the presentation by István Hegedűs, attendent co-authors described the consequences of the populist, anti-liberal politics on their policy fields. Finally, discussant András Bozóki elaborated his views to the audience. 

At the extraordinary assembly of the Hungarian Europe Society on 23 August 2023, Ildikó Mislai Birizdóné was elected as a member of the board. The financial report about the year 2020 was also approved.
"The relations between China and the European Union in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic" was the title of the online presentation held by Tamás Matura, China expert, lecturer at Budapest Corvinus University on 29 April 2020.
András Pethő, founding editor of Direkt36 and András Szabó, journalist were the guests at the event of the Hungarian Europe Society on 31 October 2018.
The Hungarian Europe Society hosted an online event on 14 October 2020 with Pál Mácsai, director of the Örkény István Theatre, Krisztina Remete, lecturer at the Budapest Metropolitan University, and Áron Szentpéteri, movie director and "SZFE (University of Theatre and Film Arts) occupier".
András Dezső, journalist at HVG and author of two bestsellers was the guest at a Hungarian Europe Society zoom event on 24 February 2021.
