István Hegedűs held a presentation at the summer university of the International Centre for Democratic Transition entitled "Political Union and the Case of Hungary" in the Garden of Philosophers at Gellérthegy, Budapest on 19 July 2013.
The Hungarian Europe Society organised a workshop entitled “First Time Hungarian EU Presidency, First Time in a Trio” on 29-30 October 2010 at the Central European University in Budapest.
István Hegedűs made a presentation on the political development in Hungary to the members of the Swedish Parliamentary Committee on European Union Affairs at the embassy of Sweden on 21 March 2011.
On 25 March 2011 István Hegedűs made a presentation on the Hungarian EU Presidency to the students of the Center for Global Affairs at the New York University on skype.
