Open Forum on the Western Balkans in Budapest Print E-mail
Open Forum Budapest on 8-10 May 2009 organised by the Hungarian Europe Society and the Germany-based NGO Citizens of Europe focused on the mismatch between the role of the European Union as a “civilizatory” power in the Western Balkans and the public attention in most of the member states.

Petra Bárd participated at the ELSA Summer School on "How to Become Homo Europeus?" between 19-27 July, 2010 in Tatranská Lomnica, Slovakia. The title of her two presentations are EU Fundamental Rights with a Special Focus on Disability Rights Data Protection in Criminal Cooperation.

Rejuvenating Lisbon
Petra Bárd gave a talk on "Rejuvenating The Area of Freedom, Security and Justice after the Entry into Force of the Lisbon Treaty" on 7 July 2010, at an international conference organized by the Pázmány Péter Catholic University on "New Values after the Lisbon Treaty".
 
Future Generations and the Fundamental Rights
Between 5-17 July, 2010 Petra Bárd organized NICLAS, an international constitutional law summer school financed by the European Commission. She also gave a speech on 6 July 2010 on "The Charter of Fundamental Rights".
 
Genetic Databases
Petra Bárd gave a guest lecture on genetic databases in the forensic context from an EU perspective on 5 July 2010, at CEU, Budapest in the framework of Total Law TM.
 
Liberalisms
The fall of Hungarian liberalism or the failure of the Hungarian liberal party? was the title of the presentation held by István Hegedűs at the annual conference of the Hungarian Political Science Association in Szeged on 18 June 2010.
 
Intercultural Relations
On 3-4 June 2010, Zoltán Dóczi participated at the conference entitled “Civil Society in Europe and the Arab Word – Towards a Sustainable Dialogue” in Potsdam organised by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation in cooperation with the League of Arab States.
