The international conference “The Twenties of the Twenty-First Century: Liberal Answers to Anti-Liberal Challenges” organised by the Hungarian Europe Society, supported by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom was held online on 6 November 2020.

On 1 July 2020 Edit Zgut, researcher at the Polish Academy of Sciences analysed the outcome of the first round of the presidential elections in Poland in her presentation. At the beginning of the meeting Wojciech Przybylski, the editor-in-chief of Visegrad Insight talked about the election campaign on Zoom from Warsaw.
The analysis of the Hungarian Europe Society on the Hungarian situation entitled "Tyranny and Hope" to the invitation of the V21 Group was published in September 2019.
Representatives of the V21 Group and the Hungarian Europe Society held an event on 11 September 2019 to discuss the evaluation of the Hungarian situation entitled "Breaking the Silence" prepared by the V21 Group and the analysis entitled "Tyranny and Hope" as a contribution of HES to the debate.
Once again the Hungarian Europe Society organised the leadership program of the German Marshall Fund of the United States between 29 March and 3 April 2019 in Budapest and the Danube Bend.

Members of the Hungarian Europe Society gave lectures at the annual final meeting of the organisation on 29 December 2018.
Openly questioning liberal democracy and openly abusing political power for serving corruption are equally dangerous for democracy, stability and Europe’s future. This was the conclusion of the discussion entitled "The future of the EU: Central and Eastern European Perspectives"
The Hungarian Europe Society and the German Marshall Fund of the United States organised the final event of the V4Europe project entitled "Turning the tide of populist authoritarianism. Mobilising a pro-European agenda in Central Europe" on 16 October 2018 at the Residence Palace in Brussels. The speakers were István Hegedűs and Zsuzsanna Szelényi as well as Benedek Jávor, Member of the European Parliament. The debate was moderated by Rosa Balfour, Senior fellow, Europe Program, GMF.
Fruzsina Albert, sociologist, Semmelweis University, made a presentation to members of the Hungarian Europe Society in Brussels on 4 October 2018.
Pro-European vision for the European Union from the perspective of the Visegrad countries: The summary discussion paper of the V4Europe project has been published in July 2018, edited by István Hegedűs, András Radnóti, Zsuzsanna Szelényi, Zsuzsanna Végh and Erik Uszkiewicz.
